Over 12K Vacancies In Nationalised Banks Up For Grabs; Details Here

Here is a golden opportunity for degree holders who are aspiring for a career in the banking sector.

The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has invited applications for as many as 12,075 clerical vacancies in various nationalised banks across the country.

The online application process will start from September 17.

The vacancies are in Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Andhra Bank, Central Bank and Central Bank of India, among others.

According to the notification, the examination for selection of the candidates will be held online, tentatively in December 2019-January, 2020. The examination will be held in two stages — preliminary and main.

  • The Tentative Schedule:
    Online registration and payment of application fee is from September 17 to October 9
  • The download of call letters for pre-exam training can be done in November
  • Conduct of pre-exam training will be held from November 25 to 30.
  • The download of call letters for online examination (preliminary) can be done in November
  • The online examination (preliminary) will be held on December 7 and 8 and from December 14 to 21.
  • Results of the online examination will be (preliminary) examination will be declared in December/January 2020
  • The download of admit card for the (main) exam can be done in January 2020
  • The Main examination will be held on January 19, 2020
  • The provisional allotment is expected in April 2020.

Since recruitment in clerical cadre in the nationalised banks is done on state-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in any one State or UT only. Consequently, the candidate would be required to appear for online examination at any one of the centres in that particular State or UT, the notification said.

Age:
Candidates (general) applying for the vacancies should be between 20 to 28 years of age.

Educational qualification:

  • A candidate should hold a graduate degree from any discipline and should be computer literate.
  • Proficiency in the official language of the particular State for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
