Keonjhar: Over 20 passengers were injured, six of them seriously, when a private bus in which they were travelling fell off a ghat road in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Thursday morning.
Sources said the bus was on its way to Bhubaneswar from Karanjia, carrying more than 40 passengers when the driver lost control over the steering while negotiating a U-turn in the Satkosia ghat area on Anandpur-Karanjia road. As a result, the bus overturned and fell off the ghat.
On being informed, police rushed to the spot with a fire brigade team and rescued the passengers. They also admitted 20 injured passengers to the district headquarters hospital. The condition of six among them was stated to be critical.
