Pandian Reviews Development Projects During Visit To Puri

Bhubaneswar: 5T and Nabin Odisha chairman VK Pandian reviewed the progress of various development projects and interacted with students and general public during a visit to Puri on Sunday.

Pandian reviewed the progress of 650-bed teaching hospital coming up in Puri town at a cost of Rs 309 crore. He directed the officials concerned to complete the work as per timeline.

He also reviewed the progress of Konark Heritage Area Development Project taken up with a cost of Rs 172 crore. Later, he took stock of the construction works of 10 multipurpose cyclone shelters. These structures were sanctioned Rs 20 crore after his last visit to the district in August, 2023.

Pandian reviewed major temple development projects in the district including Loknath Temple at Puri with a cost of Rs 35.42 crore; Maa Mangala Temple at Kakatpur with Rs 11.85 crore; Alarnath Pitha at Brahmagiri with Rs 9.11 crore; Mahaveer temple at Siruli with Rs 6.02 crore; Baliharchandi temple with Rs 5.41 crore; Somnath temple at Nimapara with Rs 4.94 crore.

He also enquired about the progress of other projects in the district including mega piped water supply, roads and bridges and health infrastructure.

During his interaction with students of colleges of Puri in the Nua-O programme, 5T chairman said there are several role models from the district who studied in government schools and colleges. They have achieved success because of hard work and determination.

Stating that Nua-O program provides a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent and help them achieve overall personality development in addition to academic excellence he urged the students to work hard with self-confidence to achieve success in life.

He interacted with the people at Bhudan Field at Talabania and received the grievances on various issues from them.
