Bhubaneswar: A day after students of different colleges joined the agitating block grant teachers, members of parents’ association also extended support to their cause on Tuesday.
The parents’ association members requested the state government to take the matter seriously and fulfil the demands raised by the teachers as careers of thousands of students are at stake. They accompanied the teachers and staged a dharna in front of different Plus II answer sheet evaluation centres across the state.
Meanwhile, All Odisha School Teachers and Employees’ United Forum convenor Golak Nayak said that the teachers will also boycott the upcoming admission session and refrain from providing education to students at different schools and colleges, if their six-point charter of demands are not met at the earliest.
