Bhubaneswar: If critical patients from outside Bhubaneswar are denied admission by any private hospital, they should inform Bhubaneswar commissionerate police.
In a tweet on Saturday, police commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi requested patients, if denied admission, to immediately dial 100. The operators will provide them with necessary assistance.
The police commissioner’s response came after chief secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy received a number of queries on this matter and forwarded them to Sarangi.
Earlier in the day, the chief secretary had warned that stern action will be taken against private hospitals if they refuse to admit critical patients from outside the capital city.
