Berhampur: INS Chilka observed the International Day of Yoga with participation of trainees, ship’s company and their families.
Commodore NP Pradeep VSM, the Station Commander addressed the ship’s company, highlighting the impact of yoga on personal health and social well-being. He urged everyone to adopt yoga as a daily practice.
INS Chilka conducted a 14-day yoga programme before the conduct of the International Day of Yoga. These sessions were designed to accommodate different skill levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and benefit from the practice of yoga.
Qualified instructors guided the participants through various asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques, emphasising the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
The Yoga Day celebration marked the commitment of Naval personnel and their families to holistic well-being and unity, said a press release of the INS Chilika.
