Mumbai: Soon after Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha on Thursday, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik posted a cryptic tweet.
“Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost (there is more to come my friend),” wrote Malik, who has gone hammer and tongs at Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) ever since the agency arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son and others in the cruise drugs case early this month.
Malik’s prediction may not be good news for NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, the investigating officer in the Aryan Khan case against whom Mumbai police has ordered a probe into allegations of extortion.
It was NCP leader Malik — whose son-in-law was arrested by the NCB in a drugs-related case earlier – who levelled extortion and forgery charges against Wankhede.
Malik has said time and again that Aryan was framed by Wankhede in a false case.
“The officer (Sameer Wankhede) who arrested them has approached the high court with a plea that the Mumbai police should not be allowed to investigate the complaints against him. Police said if we have to arrest him, then a prior notice of 72 hours will be issued in advance. Till yesterday, he was requesting the Mumbai police not to arrest him and today approached the high court. He is the same officer who requested security from the Mumbai police and now what has changed within a week he lost his faith in Mumbai police. It is a fact that he has done forgery and thus is scared of the police,” Malik remarked.
Malik has also alleged that Wankhede forged documents to get reservations in civil services examinations and job.

Malik had brought to notice about two independent witnesses — KP Gosavi and Manish Bhanushali — being used in the Aryan case, questioning their background.
