Bhubaneswar: A blanket of fog has covered the fest-laden Bhubaneswar and the city seems quite charged up amid all the fun. However, as the festivities are about to end, we need something to keep us warm and what’s better than sipping a cup of hot tea?
Bhubaneswar is blessed with some unique tea outlets and we have picked the best ones so far!
Tea Cube – A small truck at Galaxia Garden on Infosys road, Tea Cube is popular for its delicious and creamy Irani tea. Reasonable and pocket-friendly, they serve several other varieties of teas as well.
Tea Junctions – The specialty of the Tea Junction is ‘kulhad’ tea, served in earthen pots. You can spot these outlests at Jagamara and opposite Jaydev Vatika in Khandagiri. They also serve mouth-watering chocolate tea and coffee.
Cha Biscuit – Known for their aesthetic feel and open-air sitting arrangements, this is located at Acharya Vihar, opposite Regional Institue of Education. Cha Biscuit too serves tea ‘kulhad’ and its kesar tea is a must try.
Tandoori Tea – The chai-makers here heat up the earthen pot and pour hot tea in it, which creates some sort of reaction and the tea takes in all the flavour of the pot. Located at GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Palasuni Canal road and Tankapani road, they are the first to bring the tandoori tea concept to the city.
Jugaad Junction – Popular for their delicious ‘jugaadu’ food, this outlet also serves tea in ‘kulhad’ and it is extremely invigorating. The best part is, you can order several other snacks to go with your tea.
