Bhubaneswar: Even as the 4th semester examinations of Plus III courses begin in colleges affiliated to Utkal University in Odisha capital on Monday, reported scarcity of answer sheets has raised concern among the students.
According to sources, Comptroller of Examination of Utkal University Sarat Patnaik has written an official letter to the principals of the colleges under the university enquiring about the availability of answer sheets.
In the letter, Patnaik has reportedly directed the principals that if they did not have sufficient answer sheets for the semester examinations of the under-graduate students, they can contact their neighbouring colleges and procure those to replenish the shortage. Similarly, the colleges having surplus answer sheets have been told by the Comptroller to provide additional sheets to those facing the shortage.
However, Patnaik denied any crisis of answer sheets when asked about it by the media. He said this was a regular exercise from the administration to know the availability of answer sheets from the professors and there was no need for the students to panic.
