Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The tragic accident on the Mahanadi bridge has so far seen 10 deaths with several passengers of the bus still critical and admitted to the ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
This morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolence to those who lost their loved ones in the accident and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
His partyman and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had visited the accident spot last night. “The bus which met with an accident was coming from Talcher and plunged off the bridge on the Mahanadi River in Cuttack. The administration is working on rescue and relief operation,” he had told the media.
Later, he visited the injured at the SCB and enquired about the arrangements for their treatment.
The accident had taken place between 6.45 and 7.15 on Tuesday evening.
