Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed Odisha government’s preparedness for Severe Cyclone ‘Dana’ with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday evening.
In a post in his official handle X, the chief minister said he had a detailed discussion on the preparations for the cyclone Dana with the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over phone.
“I informed them about the measures taken for the security of the people during the cyclone. Deployment of NDRF and ODRAF teams for rescue and relief operations were discussed. Besides, shifting of the people from vulnerable places also featured in the discussion,” said the chief minister.
Majhi further mentioned that the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the state government. Shah assured of all possible help from the Central government whenever necessary, he said.
