Bhubaneswar: Three members of a gang of women allegedly involved in looting passengers of Mo Bus were arrested by the police in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
According to police sources, over Rs 23,000 cash and some other articles have been seized from the three women, who hail from Chhattisgarh.
The accused persons have been identified as Chhaya Patra, Lata Sendre and Ujjal Patri from Raipur and nearby areas of Chhattisgarh.
The gang was busted following investigation into a complaint lodged by a Mo Bus traveller who had fallen victim to the women on Saturday. He was surrounded by the women while getting down of the bus and later he found that Rs 25,000 had been stolen.
Based on the complaint lodged at Nayapalli Police Station, a thorough probe was conducted and apprehended the three women, who have confessed to the crime.
