Bhubaneswar: Popular play ‘Ahe Nilashaila’ will be staged once again in Odisha’s capital.
Choklate Productions plans to stage the play, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, for three days during the Rath Yatra at Rabindra Mandap from July 8 to 10 (6 pm onwards). Priced at Rs 300 each, tickets can be booked on BookMyShow.
The play was first staged from April 7 to 10 this year.
The story is partially inspired by Sahitya Akademi Award-winning Odia author Surendra Mohanty’s famous novel ‘Nila Saila’.
Directed by Lala Biren Ray, the play features actors Lawrence (Gajapati Ramchandra Deva), Sofia Alam (Maharani), Prakash Jena (Mohammed Taqi Khan), Shraddha Panigrahi (Rezia) and Manisha Rath (Sardei), among others. The script has been written by eminent playwriters Shankar Tripathi and Dr Pratima Hota.
