Pramod Kumar Merkap To Head Odisha Food Commission

Bhubaneswar: The state government has named Pramod Kumar Merkap as the new Chairperson of the Odisha State Food Commission.

The appointment will come into effect from the date the chairperson actually assumes charge of office, according to a notification by the Food, Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.

Earlier, the state government had formed a Search Committee to recommend a name to head the food commission. The committee had recommended Merkap’s appointment for the job.
