Patna: Political analyst Prashant Kishor has a simple advice for Nitish Kumar – make Tejashwi Yadav Bihar chief minister now.
Nitish had said a few days earlier that Tejashwi will lead the Mahagathbandhan in the 2025 Bihar Assembly election. The JD(U) supremo had hinted that he was looking to pass on the mantle to his ‘young and energetic’ deputy Tejashwi.
“No need to wait till 2025 to elect Tejashwi Yadav as CM. In their alliance, RJD has the biggest share. Nitish Kumar should make him CM now,” Kishor said on Saturday during his Jan Suraj Padyatra.
“This will give Tejashwi a chance to work for 3 years and the public will have the opportunity to vote on the basis of his performance,” was Kishor’s logic.
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi had helmed Mahagathbandhanan’s impressive performance in the 2020 Bihar Assembly polls, in which the NDA, comprising of BJP and JD(U) among others, barely scraped through.
The NDA lost power in August after Nitish dumped BJP.
