Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is set to begin her four-day Odisha visit on Saturday during which she is schedule to attend a host of programmes, including Puri Rath Yatra.
As per official sources, the President will arrive at the Biju Patnaik Internation Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar by a special Indian Air Force aircraft in the evening. After arrival, she will grace an event marking the 96th death anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das at the capital city.
On Sunday, President Murmu is slated to attend the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in the pilgrim town of Puri.
On July 8, she will visit Udayagiri Caves and interact with the students of Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and Utkal University of Culture.
She is also slated to inaugurate the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris at Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and launch the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign on the same day.
The President is schedule to attend the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Bhubaneswar on July 9.
In view of the President’s visit, all elaborate security arrangements have been made in the places where she will attend the programs.
