London: Who will be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig’s last hurrah in ‘No Time To Die’?
Speculation has been rife for some months, with British actors Tom Hardy and Idris Elba’s names doing the rounds. Nothing is official, though.
And now, a new name has cropped up – Prince William!
Asked who could be the next Bond, producer Barbara Broccoli quipped that the Duke of Cambridge is the “perfect candidate” to play the famous British spy.
Broccoli and her sibling Michael Wilson, who were honoured with CBEs from the Duke at Buckingham Palace this week, said she would like Prince William to replace Craig as he ticks all boxes.
“Unfortunately, the person we just met isn’t available. He’s occupied, unfortunately, but he would be the perfect candidate… He ticks all the boxes. But sadly, he’s not available. So we’re still on the hunt,” The Mirror quoted her as saying.
Prince William is the second in the line of succession to the British throne after his father, Prince Charles.
