Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday directed to hold Promotion Adalats in the last week of January. As decided, the three-day Promotion Adalats will begin from January 28 at six places in Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Secretary and additional chief secretaries of various administrative departments will preside over the Adalats. The employees would need to be present themselves during the Promotion Adalats and cannot be represented by anyone else or the service association.
In case someone is eligible and due, and not promoted, the responsibility for lapses will be fixed on the higher authority.
Mentioned below are the places where six senior officers will preside over the Promotion Adalats.
Asit Tripathy (Chief Secretary): Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell
Suresh Mohapatra (Development Commissioner): New Convention Centre, Gopabandhu Academy
Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra (Agriculture Production Commissioner): Krushi Bhawan Auditorium
RK Sharma (Additional Chief Secretary): Kalinga Stadium Conference Hall
Pradeep Kumar Jena (Additional Chief Secretary): SIRD Conference Hall
Mona Sharma (Additional Chief Secretary): IDCO 5th Floor Conference Hall.
The aggrieved employees who were eligible for promotion as on December 31, 2019 can submit their representation at gadmin.or@nic.in latest by January 23.
It is expected that this transparent, time bound promotion will incentivise hard work and inspire government employees to put their best, leading to better public service delivery, which is the hallmark of 5-Ts in governance.
