Bhubaneswar: Taking a dig at the Odisha government, which has ordered no fresh recruitment in any government posts for the next two years as an austerity measure, the Congress on Wednesday urged the state government to revise its order.
Briefing the media here, Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik said that apart from thousands of unemployed youth, over lakhs of migrant Odias have recently returned to the state.
“No one knows how much benefit the people are getting from the schemes implemented by the state government. Considering the prevailing situation, the state government should immediately roll back its order and take necessary steps by appointing the youth failing which it will be responsible for the consequences,” Niranjan warned.
