Chandigarh: Parents of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022, are expecting a child.
Sidhu’s mother Charan Singh (58) has successfully conceived through IVF treatment. The child is due in March, Tribune reported.
Sidhu, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was his parents’ only child. He started as a songwriter and went on to become well-known among the Indian and Punjabi diaspora in countries, including the UK and Canada, for his blended hip-hop, rap, and folk music.
He was shot dead allegedly by six shooters when he along with his cousin and friend was out in a jeep to Jawaharke village in Mansa, which is 10 km away from his native Moosa.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Punjab Police, which is probing the case, had filed a chargesheet against 32 accused, including gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
