Puri: The Jagannath temple here will open for all devotees in Odisha and across the country from Sunday.
Following the smooth darshan process for the seveyats and their families and later for the denizens of Puri town and its vicinity after the shrine’s reopening on December 23, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) hopes that it will be able to handle a daily turnout of 15,000-17,000 devotees.
However, the devotees will be allowed to enter the temple only after showing a COVID-19 negative report from a test that must be conducted four days earlier.
As a precautionary measure, those above 65 years of age and less than 10 years will not be allowed to enter the temple.
