Bhubaneswar: A joint team of the police, Excise Police, Drug Inspector, Forest and Environment Department and Food Safety Inspector conducted a surprise raid on a hookah bar in Chandrasekharpur area on Thursday and seized several items used for the consumption of drugs.
Acting on a tip-off, the team raided Kitchen & Cafe near a filling station in Chandrasekharpur area and seized these items.
Informing the media, the Drug Inspector said the manufacturing quality of these seized items is being examined while the police are investigating whether the owner has obtained a valid license to run the bar.
He, however, said that if the presence of nicotine is found in any of these seized items, stern action will be taken against the bar owner.
