Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Railways has opened ‘One Station One Product’ (OSOP) outlets to sell indigenous products in 21 states including Odisha and 3 Union Territories.

The pilot of the OSOP scheme was launched on March 25 last year and as on May 1, 2023, as many as 728 stations have been covered with 785 outlets across the country. The OSOP stalls have been designed through National Design Institute for uniformity.

The Ministry launched the scheme to provide a market for local/indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for the marginalised sections of society. Under the scheme, OSOP outlets at railway stations are allotted for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to the products. So far, cumulative direct beneficiaries have gone up to 25,109.

In Odisha, the OSOP outlets have been opened at 31 railway stations. These stalls have showcased Ragi cookies, Ragi biscuits, Ragi ganthiya, Kangu cookies, pearl millet cookies and coir products.
