Bhubaneswar: To handle the winter rush, the Indian Railways has decided to run 16 special trains to different destinations under East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction from January 1 to April 1.

Two trains- Kolkata-Puri Special and Visakhapatnam-Araku Special- are already running from December 23.
The decision to run these trains was taken after reviewing the long waiting lists in regular trains. Now, waitlisted passengers can book confirmed tickets in these special trains. on IRCTC website, its mobile app or at the PRS counters, an ECoR release said.
