Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued nowcast warning for 14 districts of Odisha, including state capital Bhubaneswar, till 2 pm.
Light thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30- 40 kmph, light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of Nuapada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Puri, Cuttack, Khurda (Bhubaneswar City), Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkanagiri, Jagatsingpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore and Raygada districts within 3 hours.
The weather agency warned of minor damage to loose/unsecured structures, banana trees and standing crops. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places accordingly.
