Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued nowcast warning for 12 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, which is set to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government, till 7 pm.
Light to moderate thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rain with wind speed 30-40 kmph may affect some parts of Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, and Khurda, including Bhubaneswar, in next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
