Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in Odisha for three days starting March 3.
Talking to the media on Friday, duty officer of the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Sudarshan Mishra said that the weather will remain dry in the state for two days on March 1 and 2 and rainfall activity will begin from March 3. “Going by the modular study, light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Balangir, Sonepur, Bargarh, Boudh and Sambalpur districts on March 3,” he added.
Mishra further said that moderate rainfall or thundershower is likely to occur at few places in north coastal districts and at one or two places south coastal and north interior Odisha on March 4.
“Lightning and thunderstorm warning has also been issued for March 4 and 5 at one or two places in north coastal Odisha and the north interior districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal. It will be accompanied by gusty wind,” he added.
