Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded yellow warning for 13 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, till 6.30 pm on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur in some parts of Jagatsinghpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Jajpur and Kendrapada districts. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.

Notably, the weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput and Kalahandi districts till 8.30 am on Monday.
Rain may continue in the state for another two days under the influence of a low-pressure, which persists over south Bangladesh and neighbourhood.
