Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for six districts of Odisha till 4.30 pm on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning may occur in some parts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Kendrapada and Balangir districts this afternoon.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rain/thundershower at one or two places oin Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts till 8.30 am on Thursday.
While light to moderate rain may continue in North and South Odisha during the next 3 days, dry weather may prevail from November 3.
