New Delhi: In an unprecedented move, the Rajya Sabha, on Wednesday, was adjourned 11 times amid noisy exchanges between the Government and Opposition over anti-graft Bill.
The House was first adjourned till 2PM, barely after 20 minutes of functioning, due to noisy protests broke out by the Opposition as the day convened.
After the House began at 2 pm, 10 adjournments in a row was witnessed within three hours.
Expressing displeasure over the adjournments, Chairman of the Upper House, Venkaiah Naidu termed it as a ‘murder of democracy.’
