Bhubaneswar: Three candidates of Odisha will file nominations for Rajya Sabha bypolls on Monday.
Sources in the Assembly secretariat said that the two BJD candidates – Amar Patnaik and Sasmit Patra – will file the nomination papers at the Assembly meeting hall at 12.30 pm in presence of the party president Naveen Patnaik.
Besides, BJP candidate Ashwini Vaishnav will also file his nomination at 1.30 pm.
Notably, the BJD supremo had announced to support the candidature of Vaishnav.
The last date for filing of nomination is June 25 and verification of nomination papers is June 26.
The election will be held between 9 am to 4 pm on July 5 while the results will be declared the same day.
