Mumbai: Actress Rakul Preet Singh has told the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) that the drugs recovered from her residence belong to Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Sources told Republic TV that Rakul claimed during her interrogation with the NCB that Rhea would get drugs delivered to her home and also that the stash recovered from her place was not hers.
Rakul was also learnt to have accepted the authenticity of drug chats between her and Rhea, recovered from mobile phones.
The NCB had summoned Rakul on Thursday as part of the drug nexus emerging in the Sushant case, but the actress didn’t show up claiming that she had not received any summon.
NCB officer KPS Malhotra accused the actress of trying to ‘mislead’ the agency through ‘excuses.’ The agency threatened to serve her a non-bailable warrant if she continues to evade them with excuses.
“Her summons was issued and she was contacted through various platforms including the phone where she was not available. There has been no response so far from her,” Malhotra was quoyed as saying by Republic TV.
Rakul was then issued a second summon and agreed to join the probe. The NCB was learnt to have raided her house on Friday.
