New Delhi: AIIMS New Delhi will observe half-day holiday till 2.30 pm on January 22 on the occasion of Pran Pratishtha of Ayodhya Ram Temple.
This is as per the January 18 circular of India government’s Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), AIIMS said in a directive on Saturday.
However, all critical clinical services will remain functional.
“All appointments are being rescheduled and critical clinical services will be functional. If any patients come, we will try to accommodate them. Evening OPDs will be functioning,” ANI quoted an AIIMS official as saying.
The Finance Ministry has already also issued an order directing all public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks to be closed for half a day on Monday.
A number of states have announced a holiday or half-day closure to mark the inauguration of Ram Temple.

Odisha
All government offices, revenue and magisterial courts will remain closed for half day till 2.30 pm.
Uttar Pradesh
All educational institutions across the state will be closed. Liquor shops will also be closed.
Gujarat
All government offices to remain closed for half day.
Chhattisgarh
Government offices will remain closed till 2.30 pm on Monday.
Madhya Pradesh
All schools to be shut on January 22, while government offices will be closed for half a day till 2.30 pm. Dry day has also been declared in the state.
Haryana
Schools to remain shut in the state. A dry day has been announced by the state government.
Assam
Assam government has declared a half-day closure for government offices and educational institutions till 2.30 pm.
Uttarakhand
All government offices to remain closed for half a day till 2.30 pm, while educational institutions will be shut for the day.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday in the state on January 22.
Rajasthan
The Rajasthan government has declared a half-day holiday for government offices in the state.
Goa
All government offices and educational institutions will remain closed on Monday.
Tripura
Government offices and educational institutions will be closed till 2.30 pm across the state.
Haryana
Haryana government has declared a half-day holiday for government offices and educational institutions.
Chandigarh
