Mumbai: Pictures of Ranbir Kapoor posing with a chimpanzee has set his fans wondering.
There were reports of the actor taking a paternity break as his wife Ala Bhat is due to deliver the couple’s first child later this month.
But new pictures of Ranbir, shared on Thursday evening by fan clubs, appeared to be from a set.
The pictures were shared by several of the actor’s fan clubs as well as trade insiders on Twitter on Thursday evening.
The images, which went viral, showed Ranbir sitting in a shack-like place.
As the pictures went viral, netizens wondered whether Ranbir had started shooting for a new movie.
“Can you guess, what’s cooking?” Ranbir Kapoor Universe tweeted along with the pictures.
The responses ranged from “Is this a look test for something?” to “What is happening? Where are these from?”
Some pointed out that there’s a beverage bottle on the table in one of the pictures, so the pictures could be from an ad shoot.
“It is an ad for Storia mango milkshake. See bottle in pic,” wrote one user.
