Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s senior selection committee on Friday named Prayash Kumar Singh in the Odisha Ranji Trophy squad for the second match in Elite Group A.
The 28-year-old allrounder, who is yet to make his first-class debut, will replace injured pacer Basant Mohanty.
The 36-year-old Basant was Odisha’s best bowler on Day 1 of their campaign-opener against Baroda, but had to hobble out after bagging 2/31 in 15.4 overs.
Odisha drew against Baroda in a high-scoring contest which ended at Vikash Cricket ground on Friday. Odisha had to settle for just one a point after conceding the first-innings lead.
Odisha will face Uttarakhand at Dehradun from December 20.
