Meerut: Skipper Subhranshu Senapati and opener Anurag Sarangi built a solid unbeaten 143-run second-wicket partnership to help Odisha erase Uttar Pradesh’s first-innings lead in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match at Victoria Park Stadium here on Thursday.
Odisha were 152/1 at stumps on the third day after having conceded a lead of 136 runs.
Subhranshu, who came in after first-innings centurion Shantanu Mishra was dismissed for 4 with the score on 9, raced to his fourth half-century of the season and remained unbeaten on 91 with 13 fours and a six, off just 107 balls.
Anurag played a more careful knock to be unbeaten on 52 off 128 balls.
This morning, UP resumed at 257/4 and took their total to 362, with Rinku Singh completing his century.
Pacer Suryakant Pradhan was Odisha’s best bowler, with figures of 4/76.
