Bhubaneswar: An Indian rat snake was rescued from the Lok Seva Bhawan in the capital city on Thursday morning.
According to sources, the snake was spotted by the employees of Home department came to office at around 9 am. They found it lying under a table in coordination section of the department.
On being informed, secretary of Snake Helpline Subhendu Mallik rushed to the Bhawan. He safely brought the 4-ft snake from under the table and took it out of the department.
Later, Mallik took the rat snake and left it in a natural habitat on outskirts of the city.
