Bhubaneswar: The newly-launched KALIA Scheme (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) is getting a good response from across the state. Now, the state government is planning to roll out campaign vans called “KALIA RATHS” for more intense propagation of the scheme by touching every gram panchayat, across Odisha.
During their sojourn through the state, the raths will have cultural shows by local troupes, audio-visual display, distribution of IEC material (information, education and communication), activities like quizzes on KALIA scheme and felicitation of local farmers.
Odisha State Agriculture Marketing (OSAM) Board, which will carry out the campaign will intimate each district administration in advance regarding the visit of the “KALIA RATH” so that a block-wise route map can be made. Block-level nodal officers will ensure at least three programmes in a gram panchayat.
