New Delhi: RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked as the top central banker globally for the second year in a row, receiving an “A+” rating in the 2024 Global Finance Central Banker Report Cards.
This recognition highlights Governor Das’s performance in key areas such as inflation control, economic growth, currency stability, and interest rate management, India Today reported.
The annual report, published by Global Finance magazine since 1994, evaluates central bank governors from 101 countries and regions, including the European Union and several regional central banks.
It celebrates those who excel in their roles through innovation, creativity, and determination.
In addition to this accolade, Das was previously named ‘Governor of the Year’ at the Central Banking Awards 2023 in London, further solidifying his reputation as one of the world’s most successful central bankers.
