Berhampur: A government official in Odisha’s Ganjam district, who was found drinking in his office in a viral video, has been transferred.
The video showed Sandip Kumar Tripathy, assistant manager, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) drinking alcohol inside his office room in the district. Several doctors and staff nurses had also complained against Tripathy for his alcohol habit.
Following the viral video, the Health department conducted investigation and submitted the report to the department.
On the basis of the findings of the investigation report, Dr Brinda D, director, National Health Mission under Health and Family Welfare department, in an official order issued on Saturday, transferred Tripathy to VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla.
Lopamudra Mishra, assistant manager, RBSK, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur has been posted in place of Tripathy.
