Bhubaneswar: In order to promote skill development and empower women in various sectors, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Bhubaneswar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rama Devi Women’s University in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Since the FLO aims at instilling an entrepreneurial mindset among young girls, the agreement will equip the students with knowledge and expertise in diverse sectors including beauty, wellness, bakery, agriculture, technology, branding & marketing skills, and mental & physical health awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, Poonam Mohapatra, Chairperson of FLO, Bhubaneswar said, “We are delighted to partner with Rama Devi Women’s University in this transformative initiative. Empowering women with specialised knowledge and skills is essential in today’s world, and through this collaboration, we aim to equip them to excel in their chosen fields and become future leaders.”
Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Aparajita Chowdhury said, “The MoU with FLO is a major step towards our goal of transformation of women through skill education. We are committed to providing opportunities for all our students to acquire skills and find career opportunities.”
FLO, Bhubaneswar, is the local chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
