Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday asked the state government to amicably resolve the issue relating to the hike in private school fee.
The court, while hearing the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Odisha Abhibhabak Mahasangh, asked School and Mass Education principal secretary to convene a joint meeting of parents and guardians, teachers and the representatives of the private schools in this connection and apprise the court of its outcome.
The court will hear the matter next on September 8.
Notably, the Mahasangh had moved the High Court earlier in protest against the decision of the private schools to hike the school fee amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
