Jeypore: A rice-laden truck overturned on National Highway-26 at Salirghat in Andhra Pradesh along the Odisha border in the early hours of Monday, affecting the flow of traffic on the route.
The incident took place at around 3 am when the driver of the truck reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Following the incident, more than 500 commuters and hundreds of vehicles remained stranded on either side of the busy road for more than two hours as communication from Koraput district to Bhubaneswar, Raipur and many other parts of the state was disrupted.
Later, vehicular movement was normalised after the truck was removed from the spot with the help of a crane.
