New Delhi: Australian spin great Shane Warne’s last tweet was on fellow Aussie legend Rod Marsh’s death.
Just 12 hours before he passed away, Warne had tweeted on Marsh’s death and extended his condolences to his family.
“Sad to hear the news that Rod Marsh has passed. He was a legend of our great game & an inspiration to so many young boys & girls. Rod cared deeply about cricket & gave so much-especially to Australia & England players. Sending lots & lots of love to Ros & the family. RIP mate,” Warne had tweeted.
Warne, who helped Australia win the World Cup in 1999 and was part of five Ashes-winning teams, died aged 52 on Friday.
Marsh, who had suffered a massive heart attack last week, also died on Friday hours before Warne’s death.
