Rs 190-Crore Budget Approved For Puri Jagannath Temple

Puri: A Rs 190.26-crore budget was approved for the Puri Jagannath Temple by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) managing committee for the year 2021-22 on Tuesday.

SJTA Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar said that the income of the temple was Rs 105 crore and expenditure Rs 85 crore. “The revenue surplus is around Rs 21 crore. Our income from interests was Rs 37 crore in 2021-22. We expect it to be around Rs 750 crore during 2021-22,” he said.

The temple authority also decided to reassess the land leased to Cashew Development Corporation. The quality and quantity of materials used for rituals was also discussed.
