Bhubaneswar: A special court in Odisha on Wednesday ordered confiscation of property worth Rs 8.33 lakh of a former deputy general manager (DGM) of energy department who was earlier chargesheeted by Vigilance wing for possession of disproportionate assets.
The special court in Bhubaneswar passed the order while hearing a confiscation case filed by Odisha Vigilance.
The court passed order for confiscating assets worth Rs8,33, 528/- of Damodar Das, ex-DGM, Electrical, CESU in Bhubaneswar, Vigilance sources said.
Das was earlier booked by the Vigilance agency for possession of assets which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The anti-corruption agency had also filed chargesheet against the accused.
