Cuttack: Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across Odisha will resume accepting applications for new Learner’s License (LL) from August 23 with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol.
Issuing of Learner’s License was suspended on April 22 this year due to the second wave of COVID pandemic. However, with improvement in the situation, the State Transport Authority (STA) has decided to resume all LL-related services after a lockdown-induced pause of nearly four months.
With LL test for existing applicants having resumed from August 11, they can book slots from 7 am to 10 pm every day.
The slot duration is of 15 minutes, which includes 10 minutes of test time. A candidate has to answer at least 12 questions correctly out of 20 to pass the test. All applicants must wear masks and follow social-distancing norms at the testing centre/office.
Driving License (DL) test, DL-related services, vehicle-related services and fitness tests have also resumed at all RTOs.
Between January and August 21, the RTOs have issued 1,32,391 LLs and 4,12,104 DLs.
