Koraput: Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Orissa (CUO) Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty has been nominated as a member of the governing board of Auroville Foundation for a period of 4 years.
He is one of the four members nominated by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development to the Governing Board of the foundation.
Prof. Mohanty, an internationally acclaimed academic, is currently on deputation at CUO from the University of Hyderabad, where he holds a permanent position as Professor of English. He has to his credit 29 books in English and Odia and his works have been published, among others, by the Oxford University Press, Sage Publication, Routledge, Orient Longman and Central Sahitya Academy. He is also the recipient of various national and international awards such as those from the British Council, the Katha, the Salzburg and the Fulbright fellowships. Earlier, he was nominated as a member of Education Commission for UNESCO and Inflibnet by the Government of India.
