Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPSODL) on Wednesday assured that the company has already taken proactive measures to ensure seamless power supply during Kalabaisakhi season.
According to TPSODL, it is now better prepared to manage the challenges posed by storms with more focus on infrastructure resilience and rapid response capabilities.
The company has equipped its 5,900 ground staff with essential tools to ensure swift response to power interruptions and rapid restoration during Kalbaisakhi spells. Another 800 personnel will be on standby mode for deployment during exigencies, the company said.
A state-of-the-art 24×7 centralised power system control centre has also been established in Berhampur for continuous monitoring.
To ensure efficient transportation of materials in hilly and challenging areas, TPSODL said it is coordinating with the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and local administration.
“Our commitment to the people of Odisha goes beyond providing power; it is about ensuring their safety and wellbeing. With strategic investments in infrastructure, manpower and technology, we are prepared to maintain reliable power supply. Our team is fully equipped and on high alert to address any situation that may arise,” said TPSODL CEO Amit Garg.
