Mumbai: After the brutal murder of former NCP leader Baba Siddique, actor Salman Khan, who is on the hitlist of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang since long, has been provided with Y+ security.
Amidst the fresh threat messages and the hubbub around Salman’s safety, father Salim Khan, for the first time, opened up about the blackbuck hunting case and defended his son.
In an interview with ABP live, the veteran writer stated that his son, actor Salman Khan has never killed any animal, so he won’t be apologising to anyone for the crime he did not commit.
Defending Salman, dad Salim said, “Salman has never killed any animal. We don’t even kill cockroaches, let alone animals. Why should he apologise for something he didn’t do?”
“To whom should Salman apologise? Apology is given when someone does something wrong,” he added.
Referring to the fresh threa, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore from the actor, Salim Khan alleged that it is a case of extortion where miscreants want to extract huge sum of money from them.
“Someone demands Rs 5 crore and says that if we pay, everything will be forgiven. But from the beginning, I have maintained that this is a case of extortion,” said the veteran.
Expressing his annoyance over the current situation, the veteran shared that their freedom has been compromised and they cannot live a normal life after the murder of family friend Baba Siddique and threats against Salman.
“Our freedom has been taken away. The police have asked us to avoid certain areas in our house, particularly after a bullet was fired into one part of it,” he said.
When asked about the death threats issued to Salman Khan, dad Salim said, “Life and death are in the hands of God. Honour, disgrace, life, and death are all controlled by God.”
In the wake of death threats to Salman Khan, the Bishnoi community suggested that the actor should visit their sacred temple and seek forgiveness for hunting black buck, an animal regarded as scared by the community, if he wants to be spared by the Bishnoi gang.
